ALF100
The Amina ALF100 is a passive subwoofer designed to partner the range of Amina invisible, in-wall panel speaker systems in applications such as home cinema systems and large room, high pressure stereo systems.
The ALF100 can also be installed to partner conventional free-standing loudspeakers. Home Cinema systems may benefit particularly from the space saved by the use of concealed subwoofers. Mounting directly to studs or joists on 400mm / 16″ centres and replacing a section of plasterboard, the ALF100SM is designed to fit into standard 4″ cavity stud walls and cavity ceilings.
Requiring a DSP amplifier (or suitable system processor), the ALF100SM can play down to 30Hz at 110dB (half space) at 1m. This makes the subwoofer perfect for great music systems but also media rooms and home theatres.
Designed to be installed into the fabric of the property, visible only by way of the port vent, Amina subwoofers offer smooth low frequency extension with minimal visual impact.
With bass performance that can add warmth or shake a room when needed, the range of passive subwoofers compliment Amina DML loudspeakers to help deliver a breathtaking full bandwidth experience.
Being a passive subwoofer, the ALF100SM requires external amplification. Digital Signal Processing is also required in order to apply protection.
Either requiring a dedicated DSP amplifier or a system processor and ‘dumb’ amplifier combination, the requirement is for a high pass filter and low pass filter ideally with 48dB/Octave bandpass filtering as well absolute voltage limiting.
